I'm gonna pop off for a second. ZERO of these cucks care ANYTHING for you or your grandma, how do I know? Because they never complained about the gambling industry.
Gambling addiction has been shown to have the same pharmacological effects as opiates.
Casinos are designed to disorient and confuse patrons, from the lighting and carpeting to the key of machine sounds.
Nevada had the highest suicide rate in the nation from 1990-1994, according to statistics from the CDC.
In Gulfport, Mississippi, suicides increased by 213 percent in the first two years after casinos arrived. In neighboring Biloxi, suicide attempts jumped by 1,000 percent in the first year alone.
The National Council on Problem Gambling, citing various studies, reports that one in five pathological gamblers attempts suicide, a rate higher than for any other addictive disorder.
In the UK more than 2 million households are affected by problem gambling including 50,000 addicted minors. Suicide deaths every day increasingly include young, healthy males with good careers from stable families. This is worth reading.
Asia is even worse, with Macau generating about 8 times the revenue of Las Vegas, but Thailand, Korea, and India are also in very severe condition. Japan began the process of legalizing casino gambling in 2018, with a new agency established in 2020.
1 in 5 habitual gamblers attempts suicide
1 in 5 suicides is related to gambling (usually with no other health or psychological problems)
That's JUST the suicides. Not the drugs, prostitution, organized crime, alcohol, cigarettes, job problems, domestic problems, credit card interest, or whatever else people could be doing with their lives. It's just the suicides. Gambling was illegal in 48 states for over 100 years, but in the last ten years has risen almost perpendicularly. Ask anyone who works at a gas station or convenience store, daily lottery drawings and scratch-off tickets are almost a $100B industry - with some states legalizing lotteries as recently as January of 2020. Sports betting is almost as large, formally estimated at $85B. Casinos, together with strip clubs and the other forms of gambling listed above, are open and operating right now in states that continue to (illegally) force churches and businesses to shut down. By the way.

Education
Mississippi's Constitution, which was drafted after a convention in 1868 by a biracial committee, provided free public education for all people between the ages of 5 and 21 years. The state had little tax money to fund the school system, however, due to a heavily agricultural economy. Many black communities matched money raised by Julius Rosenwald to build schools and develop the educational systems in their communities. Public schools were heavily segregated until the late 1960's (despite the 1954 Brown v Board of Education ruling which declared "separate but equal" schools to be unconstitutional). While a small minority of white students were withdrawn from public schooling following integration, 91% of the state's students remain publicly educated. Mississippi has the ignoble distinction of ranking last or near-last in many measures of educational achievement, including in spending per student (45th), math scores (50th), science scores (50th) and in ACT scores (50th); it ranks well-above average in SAT scores. However, only 3% of students take the SAT. Colleges and Universities in Mississippi include (shown are four-year schools with enrollment over 9,500):
With no professional franchises in the state, Mississippi's sports scene is dominated by college and minor-league athletics. Southern Miss, Ole Miss and Mississippi State all have successful NCAA programs and have significant following throughout the state. Several developmental baseball franchises, soccer and hockey teams call Mississippi home, including franchises for the Atlanta Braves and the Milwaukee Brewers.

The international Checkers Hall of Fame is in Petal, Mississippi. If you are standing next to another patron at an exhibit, you may only move by attempting to jump over that person.

I am obligated to say from the outset that I have never written a review in my life. I don't use this as an excuse for the poor quality of my descriptions, tastes and opinions, but, it does explain the format I decided to use. Cigar Broskies' system (with some minor variations considering it is a mystery cigar) is what I am basing my review on because I believe it to be the best with it's breakdown and scoring and I have no sense of imagination, creativity and originality. That being said, let's get to it. Note: If you are not familiar with Cigar Broskies review format (Why the hell aren't you reading those reviews?) it is broken down into 5 categories worth 20 points each. Since I don't know how much this cigar costs, I am going to reassign the twenty “value” points. I believe that there is nothing more important than flavor, so I am going to make it's impact worth 30 points. The other ten points I am going to divide between Construction and Strength making each of their values worth 25. PIC Country: ? Wrapper origin: ? Wrapper type: ? Filler / Binder: ? Length: 6.5” Ring: 50-52? Cost: ? PIC Appearance: The most obvious thing about this cigar is it's “shaggy” foot. Thanks to the foot, no toasting was necessary when lighting. Besides the foot, the wrapper had a very “toothy” look. Correct me please, but, I think this means it is veiny and bumpy and rough looking. It is also a dark wrapper that I would guess is maduro. Overall it is an attractive cigar. (Points awarded: 16.5 out of 20) PIC Construction:The cigar was firm in my hand. This torpedo shaped cigar cut firmly and cleanly with my brand new Cuban Crafters “Perfect” cutter (thanks Chuck). The pre-light draw was....firm, but, not tight. It tasted like a cigar. This thing lit up like a forest fire with it's shaggy foot. (Points awarded 21 out of 25) PICPICPIC Strength: At first light this is not a real heavy cigar. I think that is because of the unwrapped “shaggy” foot. Things start out not light but not heavy either. Things change rather quickly when the wrapper gets fully involved. The only way I can describe it is “Full-Medium” flavor.. I personally gravitate to stronger cigars so this score may be a little high for people who prefer a milder cigar. (Points awarded 22 out of 25) PIC Flavor: This category, in my opinion, is the hardest because who can account for taste? And what the hell flavors did I just taste? That is exactly why it accounts for more points than any other category. I think I tasted wood and cocoa and wood. I know whether I liked a cigar or hated it. Or if it fell somewhere in between. I enjoyed every one of these that I smoked. (Points awarded 26 out of 30) PIC Addittional Notes: I smoked 3 cigars in the writing of this review, the last one of which is still smoking as I write this. I am a every day beer drinker. I drank Coors Light for the second two cigars but for the first one I had a very local, very tasty beer called Biloxi Blond. The only place to get it is at the Beau Rivage Hotel/Casino in Biloxi Ms. (Do you think I could get some endorsement dollars for that product placement?) PIC Overall: I am 46 yrs old and have been smoking cigars for less than two years. What the hell do I know? I know that this cigar lit up quickly and burned evenly all the way to the nub. I think they all took about one hour and 15-30 mins (who remembers when you lit it and when it went out?) and I know that the ash held on for about one inch increments. I know that I had fun smoking and trying to write a review on these cigars. And, finally, I am glad that Nivuahc, a true BOTL, included me in the 2nd Mystery Cigar review..I stand behind my final rating of 85.5. (Did I do the maths right? You know how we are with math.) Now, I think I have time to go smoke one of the Cuenca Y Blancos I have in my humidor. PICPIC BTW I have one more left. Would anyone like to try it and tell us what you think? I know Nivuahc would approve. Smoke on Brothers and Sisters.
Played in Biloxi,MS (long description of how it went)
I just got back from my weekend in Biloxi MS and wanted to put down my thoughts, experiences, and reviews while it’s fresh in my mind. I visited there with my family Thursday-Sunday and stayed at the Grand Hotel Casino and while I spent most of my time with my kids I got plenty of time in at various craps tables. This was my second visit since Katrina tore the town up but it was my first visit of more than one night so I had more time to check out other casinos on this trip. I brought $500 cash with me but planned on a maximum gambling loss of $300 for the trip. I figured at mostly $5 tables I should be able to have a good time. Harrah’s sends me lots of match-play vouchers and cheap room rates so I took a $59 room rate deal with a $5 match-play voucher and stayed at the clean but not too large Grand Hotel. The hotel ,casino, and staff are all nice. They have two full-size craps tables and one “craps no more” table. Thursday evening I went downstairs to play. One $5 table was open but crowded so I went to the second one that was busy but had space. I put down my money and then realized it’s a “craps no more” table with 2, 3, 11, 12 points available. I’ve never played those alternative craps version but have heard they generally don’t have as good of odds. Before I placed a bet I saw an opening at the other table and moved over to the regular table. It was a nice green felt table with no field 5 and I think double only field (I didn’t play field). They also offer the fire bet which is a dumb but sometimes fun bet. I played up/down an hour or so. I tried pass+come for a bit but my come bet kept crapping out or the come out roll would hit a 7 and I’d lose my previous come bets. IIRC I was down about $20 so I decided to take a walk with a nice Brickhouse cigar and head down to the Isle of Capri. I’ve never been to the Isle before so I signed up for the players club and got a $10 slots freeplay which I promptly turned into $19 of cash. I walked directly into the casino area so I can’t pass judgment on the hotel portion of the property but overall I’d rate the casino pretty low. It was stretched out long and skinny so every area felt small and cramped like individual rooms. The décor was dated and unoriginal. They have a truss wood beam ceiling which I guess is supposed to be lodge-like but to me it just made the space feel even smaller. I only saw one craps table. It was a $5 table with a dirty looking mustard yellow felt. I think I had a amber bock and spent most of my time trying to finish my cigar at the end of the table without blowing too much smoke next to my neighbors. I don’t even remember the play but I was down about $50 after 30 minutes to an hour so I figured that I would head back to the Grand to finish my night.
Several weeks back we decided on the spur of the moment to drive over to biloxi for a Sunday night. I had a comped room at IP but they said no comped rooms were available that night (?) so I booked at Beau Rivage for I think $79. I've played there before but never stayed there. The room was very nice (especially for the $) but not over the top. I was hoping for a little more Vegas. I was a little disappointed that it didn't really set itself apart from other casino hotels in the area especially considering there season high rates are often way higher than other properties, no biggy. My wife and I headed down stairs to check out the tables. The were all $10 mins. I was hoping that on an off-season sunday night they'd be $5 but no luck. My wife didnt want to play $10min so we walked over to Hard Rock and found 2 $5 tables. We set up and cashed in. I had an awesome roll full of inside numbers and went up about +$150 between the two of us after just 30minutes or so. We should have walked away then as the next 1hr was a quick trip of 7outs over and over and over. We were a combined -$200 down that quick (so yeah $350 on a $5 table in <1hr) with pretty conservative play. Just nothing hit. Shockingly my wife wanted to continue to play in hopes of turning things around. I wasn't against it but I just wanted to step back for a bit and chill. Anyway we ended up stopping for the night, both frustrated with the night and each-other and went to bed early. A first for a casino trip. ugh. We're planning on staying 2 nights during our christmas cross-country trek so hopefully things will be better and redeem the game for us once again.

On August 1, 1992, the Isle of Capri in Biloxi was the first Mississippi casino to open, followed one month later by The President. Both of those Biloxi casinos are now gone. Since Mississippi law doesn't require the floating vessels to actually resemble a boat, most all of the casinos in Biloxi, as well as elsewhere in Mississippi, are built on barges. This gives those casinos the appearance Many casinos were destroyed, including the Grand Casino Biloxi, which ended up being carried 500 feet inland and across the street by the surge. It had to be demolished. Fortunately for the state, who collects billions of dollars in tax revenue each year from these casinos, owners decided to rebuild, on barges again, and Caesar’s Entertainment decided to replace the Grand Casino with a new Beau Rivage Resort & Casino Biloxi: Smoking is allowed in casino - See 12,626 traveler reviews, 1,745 candid photos, and great deals for Beau Rivage Resort & Casino Biloxi at Tripadvisor.
